About the role

  • Transportation Operations Technician II responsible for highway maintenance tasks. Requires CDL and involves plowing/salting in winter with various maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more
  • Assist with plowing and salting during winter months; overtime may be required
  • Assist in vehicle and equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • One (1) year of work experience in construction, equipment operation, or related manual labor INCLUDING EITHER one season of operating a snowplow with wings OR six (6) months of operating medium or heavy equipment, such as graders, excavators, and backhoes
  • Upon successful completion of original probation as a Transportation Operations Technician I AND possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement
  • High school diploma or equivalent
