About the role

  • Serve as a regional river scientist for an assigned region
  • Support Flood Safety Act regulatory requirements
  • Perform Stream Geomorphic Assessments (SGA) and assure data quality
  • Provide data synthesis and analysis along with recommendations
  • Conduct fieldwork to verify and apply the Statewide River Corridor Map
  • Communicate with consultants and landowners regarding river condition activities
  • Collaborate with other experts in watershed assessments and restoration projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a biological-life or physical science, engineering, a social science, data science, or an environmental or natural resources field
  • OR Three (3) years or more of experience in an engineering, environmental, social science, data science, or natural resources field.
