About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer at SEI implementing and refining public cloud infrastructure and delivering scalable solutions with a focus on security and automation.
Responsibilities
- Work to implement and refine public cloud computing infrastructure
- Actively participate with other engineers and developers to implement new workloads in public cloud
- Refactor existing workloads to meet industry and business best practices
- Develop systems, tools, and infrastructure for public cloud resources
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in cloud engineering or support role
- Advanced experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience supporting and deploying a range of public cloud computing services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments
- Experience building or managing self-service platforms used to accelerate developer productivity
- Demonstrable skills using Infrastructure as Code, idempotency, and repeatable tooling
- Proven experience operating and managing container orchestration engines such as Kubernetes
- Advanced understanding of networking concepts such as the Border Gateway Protocol
- Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and their related tooling, such as GitlabCI and ArgoCD
- Ability to operate from within task and project management tools such as Jira
