About the role

  • Electrical Engineer-in-Training at Stantec working with senior engineers on various tasks and projects. Responsibilities include design work and team collaboration in the engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Work with guidance and direction on tasks and smaller projects
  • Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products
  • Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes
  • Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline
  • Work with architectural, interior, structural and electrical disciplines
  • Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer /designer
  • Perform basic calculations to analyze and design building mechanical system components
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum three years' experience
  • Engineer-in-Training certification preferred
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
  • Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
