About the role
- Senior Specialist managing Multi-Asset Product initiatives for S&P Dow Jones Indices. Engaging with clients and overseeing product development and maintenance in the investment sector.
Responsibilities
- Help define and execute the product development strategy, considering broad market trends and client needs.
- Support the suite of Multi-Asset Indices and products via analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials (pitch decks, blogs, white papers, videos, and other media).
- Work closely with the Research and Design team on index design.
- Help oversee the index launch process: plan the overall project, coordinate across internal teams, and manage timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product management team members and support global initiatives.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Masters degree in a relevant field or progress towards a CFA charter a plus.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Self-driven with strong motivation to research and innovate on new ideas.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, comfortable working with large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must eventually deliver high quality presentations both internally and externally to clients.
- Programming skills (Python, R, SQL, VBA, others) are desirable.
- Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Barra, Axioma, etc. is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively influence others and gain their consensus when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to handle steep learning curves.
- Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
