About the role

  • Account Manager serves as the primary commercial lead for assigned clients. Driving revenue growth through strong client relationships and comprehensive MI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • The Account Manager role serves as the primary commercial lead for an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Focused on driving net revenue growth by fostering strong client relationships and delivering comprehensive solutions across the full MI product suite.
  • The Account Manager is the central point of contact, responsible for collaborating across internal functions to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
  • Deeply understand the client business strategies and market demands, helping them provide client insights and identify opportunities for growth and retention, unlocking value for customers and for MI.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within a book of business.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships across client stakeholders and workflows, serving as a trusted advisor for solving client's business challenges.
  • Develop and execute on account growth plans in partnership with Sales Specialists and Business Partners.
  • Account Analysis to prepare for renewal discussions.
  • Lead renewal and expansion negotiations.
  • Work with legal/procurement to finalize contracts and pricing changes.
  • Identify and mitigate account risks.
  • Understand account health and introduce internal resources as needed.
  • Build industry knowledge and expertise to advise clients on best practices.
  • Establish key relationships and champions within accounts.
  • Promote adoption of new offerings, capabilities, or modules.
  • Coordinate resources to develop comprehensive solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales Specialists, Business and Implementation teams to involve the right resources to meet client needs, making warm introductions as needed.
  • Provide client feedback to inform product roadmap and service improvements.
  • Ensure alignment with CCO Strategy for key accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of post-graduate professional experience, ideally in account management, customer success, or sales and relationship management roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Previous experience working with hedge funds, private equity, or private credit clients (preferred)
  • Familiarity with market data, analytics, and financial intelligence platforms (preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of driving renewals, upsells, and cross-sell initiatives (preferred)
  • Consultative, strategic, and commercially minded (preferred)
  • Intellectually curious and highly collaborative (preferred)
