About the role

  • Lean Manager responsible for CI activities with a focus on process improvement in logistics and production. Collaborating closely with operational teams in Erfurt and Sömmerda.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all CI activities at our sites in Erfurt (Sonova Logistics Center Germany GmbH) and Sömmerda (Audia Akustik GmbH)
  • You analyze, develop and improve processes in production and logistics — pragmatic, goal-oriented and in close collaboration with the operational areas
  • You identify waste (Muda) and improvement opportunities directly at the place of occurrence (Gemba) and apply Lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, value stream mapping or Kanban
  • You drive our Lean culture, train employees and facilitate workshops — not from the meeting room, but together with the team on site
  • You take independent responsibility for Lean projects from concept to measurable implementation and ensure that changes have a sustainable effect
  • You work closely and on equal terms with the production and logistics departments

Requirements

  • Degree in industrial engineering, production, logistics or a comparable field. Alternatively: a technical or commercial vocational qualification, ideally with additional training in Lean or process management (e.g., Lean Expert, REFA, Six Sigma)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Lean environment and a confident command of Lean tools
  • Practical experience in a production or logistics environment – you understand processes not just theoretically but from personal experience
  • Strong hands-on mentality: you go to the shop floor and deliver sustainable results
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills: you build trust-based relationships and professionally support employees through change processes
  • High self-motivation, empathy and the ability to inspire teams for continuous improvement
  • Assertiveness and perseverance – also during demanding transformation phases
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

Benefits

  • Above-average compensation package plus capital-forming payments (vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and company pension scheme
  • Comprehensive health offerings: Hansefit membership (access to gyms across Germany), cooperation with local/regional health insurance providers, regular health and prevention days
  • Our family-style team: a supportive atmosphere and first-name culture, regular team events and Christmas parties, and an open ear for your suggestions thanks to regular feedback meetings and surveys
  • Modern, ergonomic workstations and coverage of costs for occupational glasses, free parking
  • Numerous additional benefits: free hot and cold drinks & fresh fruit, bike leasing (Job-Rad), table football in the break room, Corporate Benefits platform, employee referral bonus, and more.
