Senior Cost Accountant responsible for cost of operations analysis and reporting at Sonova. Join our team in Valencia, CA, focusing on manufacturing variances and standard costs.
Responsibilities
Report and analyze manufacturing variances: Labor, Overhead, Absorption, Material Usage, Scrap, PPV, etc.
Responsible for forecasting and budgeting volume, earned hours, PPV, production variances and value of production including overhead cost centers.
Prepare and analyze monthly Inventory, Inventory reserve and Warranty reserve.
Lead and coordinate the annual development of standard costs in ERP system by working with Supply Chain, Mfg. Engineering groups.
Prepare and coordinate transfer pricing for all legal entities.
Review Bill of Material structure and routers for accuracy prior to setting standard cost for the release of new products.
Prepare the annual inventory revaluation (standard cost roll-up).
Lead for internal and external Operation audits and IFRS compliance.
Perform month end close process including journal entries and account analysis.
Coordinate physical inventory cycle count, monitor inventory snapshots before and after inventory and analyze discrepancies.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related academic discipline.
2+ years’ experience in Cost Accounting
Ability to work with customers at varying levels in the organization
English/ fluent
Nice to have: German or Spanish fluency
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.
Nice to have: MBA, CMA, CFA.
