Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide Health & Safety policies aligned with UK law and Boots corporate standards.
Lead audits and inspections across stores, clinical settings, and offices, ensuring full compliance with HSE and CQC requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation plans.
Monitor and report on safety performance, incident trends, and compliance metrics.
Investigate accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement preventative actions.
Deliver Health & Safety training tailored for audiologists, retail colleagues, and support teams.
Provide expert advice to senior leaders on compliance, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Drive engagement in safety initiatives, embedding a proactive “safety-first” culture across the organisation.
Requirements
Has in-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, HSE guidance, and CQC requirements.
Is experienced in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigation.
Has experience working across multi-site environments — ideally retail or healthcare.
Is confident advising senior leaders and influencing cross-functional teams.
Can translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance.
Is skilled at designing and delivering engaging safety training.
Holds or is working towards GradIOSH or CMIOSH membership (preferred).
Brings strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
