About the role

• Senior Cloud Specialist in DevSecFinOps collaborating on public sector projects in Quebec. Focusing on Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Kubernetes for a stable cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve pipelines in Azure DevOps and Terraform following least-privilege principles;
• Integrate automated tests (satellite and non-production environments);
• Deploy environments using Bicep, Terraform or ARM Templates;
• Configure networks, servers, containers and databases;
• Ensure consistency and stability of environments;
• Integrate applications with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, Prometheus and Grafana;
• Define alerts and create health dashboards;
• Diagnose performance incidents;
• Manage application configurations using Helm and YAML;
• Secure secrets using identified tools such as Key Vault or equivalent and automate their rotation;
• Deploy applications to Kubernetes/AKS using Helm and YAML;
• Manage the lifecycle of Kubernetes deployments and services;
• Provide technical support for deployments;
• Promote cloud-native DevOps best practices;
• Integrate security scans and code analysis into pipelines;
• Ensure traceability of actions and audit logs;
• Participate in incident resolution and retrospectives;
• Implement rollback mechanisms;
• Propose optimizations for processes and tools;
• Harmonize practices across projects.

Requirements

• Possess ten (10) years of experience as a project manager or project lead;
• Within the last five (5) years, have completed at least one (1) IT engagement of at least 300 days as a project manager, in a project with a minimum scope of 3,000 person-days for an organization of technological and organizational scale similar to the Ministry;
• Within the last two (2) years, have completed engagements totaling at least 400 person-days in an ecosystem including Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Bicep and Terraform (or Jenkins) and including the following monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana and Azure Monitor;
• Be able to carry out the activities and deliverables listed;
• Have the ability to explain concepts clearly and possess communication skills (oral and written) in French in order to document and present materials to Ministry teams at all times;
