About the role
- Senior Cost Manager responsible for post-contract commercial management in hyperscale data centre projects. Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead all post-contract cost management activities across a large-scale hyperscale data centre project.
- Manage cost reporting, forecasting, cashflow, and budget control.
- Oversee change management, variations, claims, and commercial risk analysis.
- Provide commercial insight and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
- Support procurement, contract administration, valuations, and final account processes.
- Conduct regular site engagement to validate progress, costs, and contractor performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project controls, engineering, and delivery teams.
- Contribute to business growth by supporting wider team development and regional expansion.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in cost management / quantity surveying.
- Strong post-contract experience on data centre or high-tech industrial projects.
- Demonstrable experience working directly with hyperscalers or tier-one contractors.
- Comprehensive understanding of cost drivers for complex MEP-intensive projects.
- Proficiency with major contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, JCT or equivalent).
- Advanced commercial, analytical, and reporting capability.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent construction/commercial discipline) – required.
- MRICS qualification – strongly preferred.
