About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads
- Continuously improve the supply base to support program and business area requirements
- Develop and implement strategic material plans and forecasts
- Partner with executive management, program management, and other departments
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues
- Lead the discovery and implementation of new technologies and processes
- Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators
- Prepare and manage capital, contract equipment, and facility requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 9+ years of experience in operations or a related area
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles
- In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management
- Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements
- Excellent negotiations skills
- Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CPIM preferred
- Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts preferred
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS compliance preferred
- Experience with major ERP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) / Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems preferred
