About the role
- Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst supporting finance team in a hybrid role at Snap Finance. Responsible for technical accounting research, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical accounting research, analyze new accounting standards, and prepare clear, well-supported documentation and memos
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and footnotes
- Support internal and external audit activities by gathering documentation, preparing schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, and other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting
- Support ad hoc technical accounting and reporting projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- 2+ years of experience in technical accounting, auditing, or financial reporting (public accounting experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience preparing financial statements and audit documentation
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly
- Proficiency with Excel and Word; experience with financial systems preferred
