About the role
- Senior Systems Analyst partnering with Fidelity stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver solutions. Focused on Agile methodologies and improving processes in a strategic technology setting.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Fidelity business stakeholders to understand their key business drivers and business requirements
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements and confirm via meaningful artifacts (Business Requirements documents, process flows, use cases, etc.)
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to ensure technology investments are strategically aligned and deliver maximum business value
- Convert business requirements into actionable delivery plans with defined milestones and timelines
- Identify and manage risks and dependencies for planned work
- Implement delivery plans through quarterly planning and backlog management
- Manage product backlogs using collaborative tools including JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
- Translate complex business requirements into user stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria
- Lead team refinement sessions to ensure stories are clear and ready for sprint planning
- Define story acceptance tests in collaboration with the team, applying Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) principles during refinement
- Ownership of user story sign-off, ensuring delivery meets requirements and passes all tests (automated and manual)
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements to extend value delivered to business partners
- Participate in End-to-End test activities to ensure functionality is working per requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years experience as a Systems Analyst
- Financial services industry knowledge and experience is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to understand the technology and software architecture of an application
- Experience with various tools that assist in analysis and testing including SQL Developer, Insomnia, Kafka - Offset Explorer, and Datadog for data validation and debugging, Jira and Confluence
- Willingness to dive in and understand code for analysis and support purposes
- Familiarity with modern AI tools and their application in Systems Analysis is desirable
- Experience in an Agile environment using the Scrum Methodology, related events and artifacts
- Effectively worked in a global, team-based environment with team members in various locations and countries.
