About the role

  • Customer Service Engineer providing technical support and maintenance for solar inverters and BESS systems at SMA. Collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar inverters and BESS systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site
  • Strictly follow electrical regulations and safety protocols when carrying out field work
  • Record all service activities, findings, and results in internal systems (ERP, service tools)
  • Provide technical after-sales support on-site and remotely
  • Coordinate planning and escalation with the Service Supervisor and back-office team
  • Report incidents and suggest improvements to support process optimization and product quality

Requirements

  • Technician or Engineer in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintaining or repairing electrical/electronic equipment, ideally PV and storage systems
  • Good knowledge of solar inverters, BESS batteries, electrical diagrams, and measurement tools
  • Native Spanish speaker; English at a basic to intermediate level
  • Strong customer focus, proactive attitude, structured working method, and solid problem-solving skills
  • High sense of responsibility and teamwork capability
  • Willingness to travel and strict adherence to safety standards
