About the role
- Energy Buyer/Market Analyst conducting operational energy trading and market analysis. Involves communication with energy partners and strategic support in finance and controlling.
Responsibilities
- Operational energy trading – implementation of the procurement strategy in daily energy purchasing
- Maintaining hedging overviews and consolidating energy-related information
- Monitoring, analysis and reporting on energy markets, particularly natural gas, electricity and CO2
- Communication with strategic energy partners both within the group and with suppliers
- Support in the area of strategic energy and new media in handling energy contracts and related agreements
- Operational and strategic support for Finance and Controlling on topics related to energy surcharges and ancillary energy costs
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience in the energy sector
- Strong knowledge of the energy industry and a high level of analytical understanding
- High degree of reliability, thoroughness, commitment, teamwork and strong communication skills
- Excellent German and English skills and confident use of common Office applications are required
- Experience with SAP desirable
