Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, among others)
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security
- Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
- Perform query and environment tuning and performance optimization
- Implement and manage security policies and access controls
- Automate administrative processes using scripts and tools
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
- Document procedures, policies, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
- Advanced experience in database administration (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of high-availability architectures (Always On, Replication, Clustering, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with backup and data recovery tools
