About the role
- IT Desktop Engineer ensuring smooth operations and modern workplaces for a global software provider. Engaging in support, software provisioning, and new technology enablement.
Responsibilities
- Receive, categorize and handle incidents and service requests (1st/2nd level)
- Manage user and access rights (e.g. in Microsoft Entra)
- Support Windows-based clients including peripherals and standard software
- Provide practical enablement for SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Office apps (structures, permissions, usage concepts)
- Copilot & AI: act as first-line contact, share best practices, gather use cases and provide feedback to the central team
- Intune: package testing, functionality validation, rollouts via the Company Portal, and feedback to the team
- Ensure compliance and security policies on endpoints (policies, configurations)
- Install, roll out and administer laptops and mobile devices (MDM)
- License management as well as installation and maintenance of applications/tools
- Manage hardware lifecycle including inventory tracking as well as return and refurbishment processes
- Participate in the introduction of managed MacBooks: standardization, documentation and user enablement
Requirements
- Completed IT training or equivalent qualification
- Experience in IT support/system administration (Windows)
- Knowledge of endpoint management and ticketing systems
- Very good German and fluent English skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (user/license management: Entra/Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune)
- Hands-on experience with Intune packaging/deployment and compliance policies
- Initial experience with Copilot in an M365 context
- Interest in or experience with macOS
