About the role
- Senior Back-End (.NET) Developer responsible for designing and modernizing payment capabilities at SEB in Vilnius. Collaborating with architects and product owners for secure, scalable, high-performance services.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building back-end services and APIs for payment flows
- Modernizing existing systems and contributing to SEB’s strategic Payment Roadmap
- Ensuring system reliability, performance, and resilience under high load
- Driving engineering best practices and code quality improvements
- Contributing to architectural decisions and solution design
- Supporting CI/CD, DevOps, observability, and operational excellence
Requirements
- Professional experience with C# and .NET Core, building production-grade systems
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, messaging systems, or streaming technologies
- Good knowledge of MS SQL and performance-focused database design
- Experience working with containerized solutions (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- A proactive mindset with strong ownership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional Agile team
- Fluency in English
- Bonus points if you also have experience in high-load or business-critical financial systems
- Familiarity with payment standards or banking integrations
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or SRE-aligned practices
