About the role

  • Member Solutions Manager overseeing collection and recovery functions at Seattle Credit Union. Responsible for managing compliance, team engagement, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all collection and recovery functions
  • Monitor and report on charge-offs, delinquencies, and related trends
  • Partner with the VP of Consumer Lending to execute strategic initiatives
  • Inspire, engage, and develop team members through coaching and mentoring
  • Design and maintain collection programs while ensuring full compliance
  • Define departmental KPIs that align with organizational objectives
  • Maintain awareness of factors impacting delinquency and stay current on industry trends
  • Manage the end-to-end process for reporting and ensure accuracy
  • Oversee collectors’ outreach efforts and negotiate repayment arrangements
  • Manage bankruptcy filings and delinquent mortgage accounts
  • Lead the annual departmental budgeting process and direct audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a collections-related field
  • Minimum of 3 years as a people manager
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a credit union or other financial institution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, UDAAP, Reg Z, and Bankruptcy laws
