About the role

  • Sales Manager responsible for developing relationships with major home center retail partners like The Home Depot. Managing merchandising efforts and developing sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with major home center retail partners
  • Increase in-store presence of ScottsMiracle-Gro brands
  • Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers
  • Develop sales/marketing plans
  • Provide job training and communicate product knowledge
  • Assist retailers in merchandising Scotts' product lines
  • Manage budget by effectively controlling expenditures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in retail, merchandising, and or account management
  • Experience using sales forecasting tools
  • Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb an 8-12 foot ladder, lift up to 45 lbs and be exposed to weather elements (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain)
