About the role
- Technical Writer for machinery construction, creating user manuals and documentation. Involves research, documentation assembly, and communication with translation services.
Responsibilities
- Designing, creating and maintaining operating and maintenance manuals in German for special-purpose machinery using an authoring system
- Independently researching technical issues in collaboration with the relevant specialist departments
- Compiling technical documentation for external customers
- Liaising with translation service providers
Requirements
- Completed technical vocational training with relevant professional experience
- Ideally, a university degree in Technical Documentation/Technical Writing
- Very good technical understanding
- Experience in preparing graphics, illustrations and images, e.g. using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or comparable software
- Ideally, experience with an authoring system, preferably SCHEMA ST4
- Experience working with SAP and MS Office
- Quick comprehension and a structured, analytical and independent working style
- Affinity for IT tasks and working with technical software
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
