Responsibilities
Create and maintain online help, user guides, and administrator documentation in English, aligned with the software development lifecycle.
Develop additional documentation such as best‑practice guides, configuration guides, and feature overviews for enterprise products.
Review and improve GUI text strings and error messages as part of the development process.
Leverage AI‑assisted tools (e.g., content analysis, rewriting, validation, summarization) to improve documentation quality and efficiency.
Validate technical accuracy by collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, UX, QA, and Support teams.
Ensure consistency with company style guides, terminology standards, and structured authoring principles.
Mentor junior technical writers and share best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, IT, Linguistics, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in technical writing for software products.
English proficiency at Upper‑Intermediate level or higher.
Strong attention to detail, consistency, and clarity.
Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role of documentation within it.
Experience working with issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
Experience using source control systems (e.g., Git).
AI‑Related Skills and Experience.
Practical experience using AI‑powered tools for content creation, editing, or quality checks.
Ability to evaluate AI‑generated content for accuracy, tone, style, and compliance with documentation standards.
Experience using AI to analyze existing documentation and identify gaps, duplication, or inconsistencies.
Understanding of prompt design and structured inputs to achieve predictable, high‑quality results from AI tools.
Awareness of data privacy, security, and ethical considerations when using AI in documentation workflows.
Nice to Have: Experience with MadCap Flare or similar documentation tools.
Knowledge of structured authoring and information design (DITA, XML, Markdown).
