About the role
- Support pre-construction activities for distributed generation projects, including solar and energy storage at Scale Microgrids. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Project Engineering and Preconstruction.
Responsibilities
- You will support pre-construction activities for our distributed generation projects, which typically include solar, natural gas generation, and energy storage resources.
- This hybrid role will report to our Sr. Director of Project Engineering and Preconstruction, and will be based out of our HQ in Ridgewood, NJ.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience in Construction Management, general contracting, logistics, engineering, energy industry, with an emphasis on budgeting and cost estimating.
- Exhibit ability to build and maintain relationships with equipment vendors and contractors, specifically in the electrical construction and distributed energy field.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively and be comfortable interacting with different internal and external customers.
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools skills.
