Responsibilities
Lead Pearson’s understanding of international regulatory frameworks for vocational qualifications
Ensure qualifications and delivery models are compliant, scalable, and aligned to global market requirements
Analyze regulatory developments and engage with global stakeholders
Translate complex policy into clear, actionable insights
Build regulatory intelligence across priority markets
Advise on market entry, regulatory compliance, and governance alignment
Shape governance models and support risk management
Requirements
Experience working with regulators, accreditation bodies, or within education policy and governance
Strong knowledge of international education regulation and compliance
Confident interpreting legislation, policy changes, and governance requirements
Management experience
Good knowledge of UK regulatory bodies: Ofqual regulations and Conditions of Recognition, Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Quality Code, RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework), Transnational education (TNE) compliance expectation
Good understanding of the international regulatory environment: ENIC/NARIC recognition systems (e.g. UK ENIC), Qualification mapping & comparability frameworks, Government licensing models, Accreditation vs. recognition vs. registration differences
Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders
