About the role

  • Interim Director of Nursing leading nursing programs in various long term care facilities across the US. Responsible for maintaining high standards of care, staff management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides temporary nursing facility leadership and support
  • Administers the nursing program in a long term care facility to maintain standards of resident care
  • Facilitates the optimization of the geriatric care process
  • Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies
  • Responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the organization's nursing personnel
  • Schedules staff and conducts employee performance reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
  • Five years nursing experience required
  • Housing with Services, housing and urban development (HUD), and/or assisted living experience also helpful
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing

Benefits

  • Must be willing to travel to SD, ND, NE, KS, IA, MN and/or CO for assignments
  • Assignment length is 9-13 weeks on average
