About the role

  • Lead a marketing team focusing on integrated campaigns for Samsung's smartphones and devices. Oversee marketing strategies and manage a diverse team in the UK market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high performing marketers to deliver a series of integrated campaigns across a quarterly-based and annual product roadmap - for both launch and sustain.
  • Responsible for B2C cross-category marketing for Premium & Innovation (N-1) Smartphone, Wearables (Watch, Buds & Ring), Tablet, Computing and Services.
  • Create and implement a brand-new planning ‘blueprint’ process to deliver annual and quarterly marketing plans across the full funnel - integrating with the Omni broader teams.
  • Complete outstanding campaigns including strategy, managing investments, tracking metrics, developing assets, protecting brands, implementing media, conducting social/PR activities, delivering partnerships, and assessing return on investment.
  • Drive an integrated plan to align Samsung owned marketing across the broader Omni-marketing teams including channel, retail, digital, D2C, KX and SES.
  • Enhance existing working relationships across sales, commercial teams and product management to deliver the quarterly sell in and growth number.
  • Manage a suite of marketing agencies across creative, media and partnerships – challenging the status quo to deliver best in class plans and stronger efficiencies.
  • Deliver exceptional and high performing plans fully aligned to the varying audiences needs and category trends in the SEUK consumer market.

Requirements

  • A world-class product marketing practitioner with 15 years+ senior blue chip experience
  • Category experience - require fluency with the UK tech market and deep experience in operator, and/or retail, and/or manufacturer roles is essential
  • Experience in leading teams in a fast-paced environment where influencing, leading through ambiguity and complexity, and inspiring creative minds is essential
  • Communications expert and inspiring communicator able to clearly articulate complexity with simplicity and creative ideas with gravitas at all levels with the organisation
  • Stakeholder management experience to manage complex projects in a matrix environment
  • Exec level media, creative, brand and analytical skills and experience; number-and data-literate with the ability to synthesise and articulate recommendations
  • A passion for business development and the drive to want to help grow product performance and brand relevancy and desire
  • Strong verbal and written communicator – engaging yet sticks to the facts
  • Manages staff and partners to perform at their best – clear objective setting, clear milestones, ongoing coaching, goal setting and objective monitoring and evaluation
  • Works well and is happy in a very fast moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Can ideate fast and find digital and online solutions where others cannot.
