Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and security services
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure high system availability and performance
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and release processes
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Manage day-to-day cloud operations, including monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery planning specific to cloud environments
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection
- Monitor cloud costs and implement strategies for cost optimization and resource governance
- Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies, providing guidance and support to development and operations teams
- Collaborate with other departments such as Development, Product, and Security to ensure alignment on cloud technology needs and implementations
- Assist with knowledge sharing and documentation of cloud architectures and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud system administration roles
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP)
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting clusters
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of cloud cybersecurity principles, including IAM, network security, and data encryption
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
