About the role

  • VP overseeing strategic operations and financial growth of Sally Beauty stores. Leading multi-region field leaders to enhance customer experience and business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan aligned with the company Annual Operating Plan to achieve revenue targets.
  • Use data to assess the needs of the business and provide clear direction to the team and holding them accountable to deliver on goals.
  • Supports the development and implementation of business and financial models, operating metrics, and store initiatives with an understanding of the implications on revenue, cost, gross margin, and customer retention.
  • Lead a group of field leaders across multiple regions to manage daily operations and deliver on the customer experience expectations.
  • Ensure the in-store customer experience exceeds expectation by leveraging all selling and educational tools across the fleet of stores.
  • Visit stores to provide ongoing and hands-on coaching, development, and mentorship to your teams with a focus on investing in field leaders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience managing and/or directing large multi-unit, geographically disbursed store-based operations
  • Specialty store expert in operations, customer engagement, communication and education
  • Experience in “best of class” retail environments known for having a strong customer focus.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to quickly build strong relationships across the organization.
  • A team player who values working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Must have an unwavering commitment to improving the relationship with the Customer.
  • A creative thinker who is able to both set strategy and translate it into action
  • Results-oriented with exceptionally high-performance standards
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements, financial performance and the dynamics of the P&L.
  • Interested in career growth/advancement
  • Demonstrated results in the development of people across an organization.
  • Experience in managing time and attendance systems
  • Prior experience working collaboratively with GVP’s and other Vice President level functional and operations focused managers.
