About the role

  • Counsel / Contracts Negotiator Lead supporting Salesforce’s EMEA Sales organizations in commercial transactions and compliance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing legal risks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on deals, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across the business (revenue recognition, sales operations, and pricing)
  • Integrate AI in accordance with the Company strategy in your day to day work
  • Provide rapid, business-savvy legal advice while effectively managing legal risk and ensuring compliance across private sector transactions
  • Review, negotiate, draft, and drive fast turnaround times on high-value agreements, including, cloud, SaaS agreements, NDAs, data processing addenda and AI transactions in support of the EMEA sales teams
  • Work closely with sales, privacy, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient deal execution, and that agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes
  • Advise on contract disputes and regulatory inquiries, minimizing legal and operational risks
  • Identify and implement legal process improvements to support rapid deal closure
  • Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices
  • Work hard, move fast, and bring a positive, solutions-driven approach to challenging situations

Requirements

  • LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited law school/university
  • Licensed to practice law in the European Union or the United Kingdom
  • 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • 5+ years hands on experience working with EMEA contracts in a law firm or company legal department
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, particularly in technology transactions, including SaaS, cloud and AI
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required, additional European languages are preferred
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and demanding industry
  • Proven track record ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients
  • Familiar with and interested in technical concepts (Web applications, cloud computing, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence)
  • Highly adaptable and service-oriented attitude
