About the role
- Senior Counsel advising on sustainability (ESG) and product law at STIHL. Focused on compliance in supply chains and with legal frameworks for gardening and forest tools.
Responsibilities
- Independent legal advice in the area of sustainability law (ESG) across the supply and distribution chain
- Advising on EU product law with a focus on petrol- and battery-powered forestry and garden equipment
- Further development of established ESG systems
- Review and negotiation of contracts
- Conducting training sessions
- Close coordination with specialist departments (Procurement, Sustainability, Compliance, Sales, etc.)
- Participation in legal exchanges at national and European level on ESG matters
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) or business lawyer with relevant specialization (m/f/d)
- Several years of experience in ESG, product law and unfair competition law
- Solid professional experience in a commercial law firm, in-house or in an association
- Independent, self-motivated, structured and analytical working style
- High level of integrity and reliability, strong team skills and resilience
- Business acumen
- Strong collaboration and networking skills
- Openness to technology-assisted applications in a modern legal department; confident use of Legal AI (Harvey, Beck-Noxtua)
- Fluent German and business-fluent English
