Responsibilities
As our Scrum Master, you’ll empower teams to deliver value with clarity, predictability, and impact.
Coach for outcomes: Shift the focus from tasks and points to customer impact, business outcomes, and quality.
Help teams break work into clear, valuable slices and deliver with purpose.
Enable smooth flow: Make work visible, manage queues, and improve flow metrics like cycle time, throughput, and release readiness.
Run effective cadences: Facilitate planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, demos, and retrospectives that lead to real decisions—keeping ceremonies pragmatic and purposeful.
Improve the system, not just the sprint: Co-create team agreements, quality gates, and change-management guardrails.
Identify systemic impediments and drive resolutions across teams and functions.
Partner with Product & Engineering: Support backlog clarity, prioritisation, and cross-team dependencies.
Promote collaboration and “one-team” behaviours to reduce surprises.
Strengthen predictability and transparency: Build simple, trustworthy dashboards to track progress and set stakeholder expectations based on evidence.
Foster a learning culture: Lead root-cause analyses, experiments, and knowledge sharing.
Mentor team members and contribute to our ways-of-working community.
Champion remote-first excellence: Build inclusive, high-signal async practices, ensuring communication and context are clear for distributed teams.
Requirements
Proven Scrum Master or Flow Coach experience in software engineering environments, across both startup and enterprise contexts.
Strong facilitator and coach: Skilled at navigating difficult conversations, building shared ownership, and fostering high-performing teams.
Agile practitioner: Lives Agile values and principles pragmatically, applying only the processes that add value.
Data-driven mindset: Comfortable capturing, interpreting, and acting on flow metrics to improve delivery.
Pragmatic problem-solver: Uses small, reversible experiments and evidence-based approaches to drive improvements.
Executive confidence: Able to translate status updates into outcomes, risks, decisions, and options for leadership.
Remote leadership experience: Skilled at leading distributed teams across time zones.
Excellent communication skills: Strong at negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
Technical familiarity: Experienced with data/AI or cloud-native product teams.
Continuous development: Holds coaching certifications or demonstrates ongoing professional growth.
Bonus experience: Tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, and source control/CI/CD awareness.
Practices: Blending Scrum with Kanban or flow-based approaches.
Scaled Agile: Exposure to frameworks like Scrum@Scale, LeSS, or SAFe applied pragmatically.
