About the role
- Senior Tax Analyst at Sabesp ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing fiscal processes. Responsible for analysis of direct and indirect taxes with a focus on tax retention responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and calculation of direct and indirect taxes, with a focus on withholding taxes (IRRF — Withholding Income Tax, INSS — Social Security, ISS — Service Tax, PIS/COFINS, CSLL).
- Ensure compliance with ancillary obligations and other declarations required by current legislation.
- Review fiscal documents (incoming invoices) to ensure correct application of tax rules.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, including topics such as tax reform, assessing impacts and proposing adjustments.
- Prepare analytical reports on the company’s tax burden and recommend strategies for tax optimization.
- Provide technical support during tax audits and internal/external inspections, ensuring proper documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes through implementation of effective internal controls.
- Participate in strategic projects related to the tax area, such as systems integration and tax policy reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Tax/Taxation area.
- Knowledge of SAP (FI-CO module).
- Strong understanding of tax rules applicable to the finance area.
- Preferred: Familiarity with TaxOne and V360.
- Advanced Excel skills.
