Sr. Program Manager leading Protected Tactical Enterprise Service program within the Strategic Communications unit at Collins Aerospace. Focused on meeting contractual commitments and managing program execution.
Responsibilities
Direct all program activities
Interfaces and partners with customers to ensure project alignment
Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of the program
Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.
Establishes cost-focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
Leads strategy, vision and tactical direction of the business with a focus on meeting contractual commitments and company expectations as set forth by the business.
Assures on-time execution of contracts and proposal submittals through empowerment, communication, setting expectations, and building teams.
Acts as empowered authority to accomplish objectives with support from the leadership team
Drives tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives.
Establishes and maintains key programmatic metrics, defines milestones, critical path and monitors adherence to program budgets and schedules.
Supports the development and tracking of the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-term financial outlook and commits to specific financial goals and obligations.
Leads the collaboration necessary across functional groups, broader RTX organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry.
Experience with Government contracting requirements and the DoD acquisition management process.
Experience supporting development and production programs.
A strong command of PM best practices to enhance program execution with demonstrated experience managing and overseeing program management tools such as R/O Management, Cost and Schedule Management and Earned Value Management.
Strong communication skills with experience interfacing with customers and presenting to internal leadership.
Earned Value Management (EVMS) Certified or equivalent
Demonstrated understanding of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
