- Sr. Program Manager leading Protected Tactical Enterprise Service program within the Strategic Communications unit at Collins Aerospace. Focused on meeting contractual commitments and managing program execution.
Responsibilities
- Direct all program activities
- Interfaces and partners with customers to ensure project alignment
- Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of the program
- Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.
- Establishes cost-focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
- Leads strategy, vision and tactical direction of the business with a focus on meeting contractual commitments and company expectations as set forth by the business.
- Assures on-time execution of contracts and proposal submittals through empowerment, communication, setting expectations, and building teams.
- Acts as empowered authority to accomplish objectives with support from the leadership team
- Drives tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives.
- Establishes and maintains key programmatic metrics, defines milestones, critical path and monitors adherence to program budgets and schedules.
- Supports the development and tracking of the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-term financial outlook and commits to specific financial goals and obligations.
- Leads the collaboration necessary across functional groups, broader RTX organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry.
- Experience with Government contracting requirements and the DoD acquisition management process.
- Experience supporting development and production programs.
- A strong command of PM best practices to enhance program execution with demonstrated experience managing and overseeing program management tools such as R/O Management, Cost and Schedule Management and Earned Value Management.
- Strong communication skills with experience interfacing with customers and presenting to internal leadership.
- Earned Value Management (EVMS) Certified or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
