Responsibilities
- Structure, draft and negotiate term sheets and purchase and sale agreements and related documents
- Lead closings
- Structure, draft and negotiate agreements relating to real estate development
- Provide counsel on entitlements, land use issues, permits and development issues
- Assist with drafting and negotiating customer leases
- Identify and resolve business and legal risks
- Exercise independent judgment on legal matters to counsel business partners and management
- Serve as a partner to teams across Rowan to develop strong project de-risking and execution strategies
Requirements
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school
- 5+ years’ of experience with complex real estate and development transactions, data center experience is a plus
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage outside counsel and oversee multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Knowledge or experience in joint ventures, environmental law, real estate finance or project finance is a plus
- Experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Comfortable making decisions in situations with ambiguity
