About the role

  • Senior Product Operations & Excellence Manager at Elsevier supporting technology-driven product squads. Designing product operations processes, ensuring data excellence, and enhancing team engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and refine product operations processes to ensure efficiency, transparency, and alignment across all Shared Technologies squads.
  • Ensure product roadmaps are accurate, current, and aligned with delivery and strategic objectives.
  • Uphold high-quality, reliable data standards across Aha! and Jira to support planning, tracking, and communication.
  • Ensure product managers are equipped and trained to apply operational processes consistently.
  • Support the development and effectiveness of the product management community, including learning pathways and best practice adoption.
  • Monitor team sentiment using eNPS and OfficeVibe, and coordinate actions to foster a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.
  • Track and communicate progress on complex deliveries with multiple dependencies across teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Operations peers and support the Chief of Staff to drive maturity in product operations.
  • Lead change initiatives to enhance collaboration between product, technology, and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Excellence, Product Management, or related Operations roles, preferably within technology-driven organizations.
  • Passion for developing people, elevating product craft, and contributing to a healthy, engaged product culture.
  • Proven experience designing and managing product processes and operating frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency with Aha! and Jira, or similar product and delivery management tools, including integration and data governance.
  • Skilled at identifying process inefficiencies and implementing strategic, scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing across product, technology, and leadership teams.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and disciplined in managing multiple complex workstreams.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with diverse teams to drive alignment and operational consistency.
