Responsibilities

  • Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing software applications to ensure performance, availability, and operational continuity.
  • Own run-and-maintain responsibilities, including proactive monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for production systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects and production issues through structured break/fix processes and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and execute automated unit, integration, and regression tests to strengthen quality assurance and reduce manual effort.
  • Expand automated test coverage and integrate testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with architectural and coding standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, SRE, and Architecture to implement updates, patches, and performance improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration, release validation, and reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure timely patching and remediation of software vulnerabilities, maintaining compliance and system security.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and testing procedures.
  • Support efforts to modernize legacy components, adopt automation tools, and improve overall development efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development, ideally in logistics, financial, or brokerage technology environments.
  • Strong programming proficiency in C#, JavaScript, or similar modern languages; experience with .NET Core or Node.js preferred.
  • Proficiency in developing automated tests and familiarity with frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Jest, or Cypress.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, system debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments, including monitoring, alerting, and service maintenance practices.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding software security principles and patch management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities in fast-moving environments.
  • Experience supporting microservices architectures or event-driven systems in production.
  • Familiarity with automated test generation or model-based testing approaches.
  • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
  • Experience with containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
