About the role

  • Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer responsible for structural and thermal analysis support of novel technology products. Collaborating with a dynamic team on various engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • lead structural and thermal analysis
  • support mechanical integrity testing of novel technology products and systems
  • carry out stress analysis by hand calculation and FE
  • assess solutions
  • present work to peers, managers and external partners

Requirements

  • a degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering/manufacturing experience
  • Sound understanding of fundamental structural analysis principles as applied to lightweight structures and/or pressure vessels, either from recent study or industry experience
  • able to establish structural requirements, verification methodologies and test plans.
  • experience of a commercial structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package
  • delivered presentations of technical work to reviewers
