Responsibilities
lead structural and thermal analysis
support mechanical integrity testing of novel technology products and systems
carry out stress analysis by hand calculation and FE
assess solutions
present work to peers, managers and external partners
Requirements
a degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering/manufacturing experience
Sound understanding of fundamental structural analysis principles as applied to lightweight structures and/or pressure vessels, either from recent study or industry experience
able to establish structural requirements, verification methodologies and test plans.
experience of a commercial structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package
delivered presentations of technical work to reviewers
