About the role
- Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer responsible for structural and thermal analysis support of novel technology products. Collaborating with a dynamic team on various engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- lead structural and thermal analysis
- support mechanical integrity testing of novel technology products and systems
- carry out stress analysis by hand calculation and FE
- assess solutions
- present work to peers, managers and external partners
Requirements
- a degree in a STEM subject or equivalent engineering/manufacturing experience
- Sound understanding of fundamental structural analysis principles as applied to lightweight structures and/or pressure vessels, either from recent study or industry experience
- able to establish structural requirements, verification methodologies and test plans.
- experience of a commercial structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package
- delivered presentations of technical work to reviewers
