About the role

  • Trainee Lifting Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector focusing on inspections and compliance training. Working in various capacities across UK and Europe with full training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in carrying out Statutory inspections of lifting and safety equipment within Workshop and Onsite.
  • Support inspections in accordance with LOLER, PUWER regulations.
  • Conduct testing and inspection of equipment using specialist tools and instruments.
  • Accurately document inspection results and produce reports.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team on sites across the UK and Europe.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance in all working environments.
  • General rigging and slinging duties.
  • Manufacturing of steel wire rope slings.
  • Testing of lifting equipment.
  • General labour support and delivery driving.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering college training background (essential)
  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/5 above in Maths & English
  • Full UK Driving License
  • All Offshore Certifications will be provided as part of the role.
  • Mechanical experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER regulations (Desirable but Not Essential)
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
  • Understanding of the risk assessment process
