About the role
- Sr. Manager, Project Electrical responsible for managing technical projects in shipping industry. Leading project management for revitalizations and technical compliance in the maritime sector.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical management functions related to revitalizations, technical projects, and supporting the project managers as needs arise
- Proactively directs and drives ship technical/electrical projects within time frame and budget
- Manages vendors to ensure they meet time, budget, safety and brand guidelines
- Create strong link to marine operations and chief engineers to ensure operational needs are met
- Develop cost reduction programs for projects
- Maintain and support project budget alongside Project Manager(s) and Technical Manager(s)
- Review project design proposals and prepare detailed reports as needed
Requirements
- Background in Electrical, Electronic, and Power Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in shipping industry, classification society or similar
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent highly desirable
- Experience as a passenger vessel Chief Electrical/Electronic Engineer is preferred
