About the role

  • Director of Store Operations at Randa Apparel & Accessories overseeing store operations for multiple brands. Responsible for new store launch, training, and cross-functional project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-opening operations planning: readiness checklists, timelines, vendor coordination, equipment/fixture coordination, and go-live execution.
  • Create and implement store SOPs (opening/closing, cash handling, returns/exchanges, safety, incident response, back-of-house routines).
  • Oversee daily store operations to optimize service, speed, accuracy, productivity, and cost control.
  • Build routines for inventory flow, stockroom organization, replenishment, cycle counts, shrink/loss prevention, and store-to-floor execution.
  • Own POS readiness: configuration support, testing, cashier workflows, returns/exchange rules, discounting/promo execution, and issue triage.
  • Develop and maintain job aids and troubleshooting guides; coordinate fixes with internal/external partners.
  • Partner with leadership/HR to staff the store; support workforce planning and scheduling for coverage and productivity.
  • Design and run training for store team members (customer experience, product knowledge, operational tasks, POS proficiency, safety).
  • Serve as the operational project lead across stakeholders (Brand, Merchandising, IT/POS, Finance, HR, Facilities, Marketing) to deliver store capabilities and rollouts.
  • Track operational KPIs (labor, transactions, conversion, shrink, inventory accuracy, returns, customer feedback) and implement improvements based on data.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify work, reduce friction, and increase store team effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail store operations, store management, or retail operations roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational procedures/policies and drive consistent execution.
  • Strong working knowledge of POS systems and front-end store processes (knowledge of Shopify preferred).
  • Experience with staffing, training, and scheduling in a retail environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholder groups; strong communication and follow-through.
  • Analytical skills: able to interpret store metrics and translate them into practical action plans.
  • Experience supporting a new store opening or major store launch/reset.
  • Experience executing monthly floor sets.
  • Apparel retail experience (visual standards, merchandising collaboration, fitting room operations).
  • Familiarity with store audio/content management (Spotify or similar) and brand experience guidelines.
