Responsibilities
Provide fast and accurate processing of orders, inquiries and return authorizations in a customer service environment in the manufacturing sector
Review, process and follow up on orders and inquiries by telephone, fax, internet, EDI and correspondence from customers and Technical Sales Representatives
Maintain established performance metrics for order accuracy, volume of entries, phone volume and error rate
Responsible for timely customer communications, including but not limited to pricing information, order confirmation and shipping status
Proactively review open order reports and information providing documentation as requested to customers, manufacturing plants or sales
Process and monitor Return Authorizations, obtain required approvals for changes to customer specific information and special accommodations
Own, manage, maintain and update customer data and files
Adhere to SOX requirements of confirming orders and ensuring all orders shipped in the month are processed through sales update for revenue recognition
Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required
College degree preferred
1-2 years customer service experience
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; JD Edwards experience desired
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a flexible environment with minimum supervision
Attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills
