About the role
- Product Assurance Engineer supporting the development of quantum key distribution systems. Ensuring quality and compliance in the aerospace sector with a focus on PA standards.
Responsibilities
- Definition and implementation of a tailored Product Assurance (PA) strategy for programs maturing space technologies
- Derivation, tailoring and management of PA and MMPP requirements
- Leading PA activities across the entire product lifecycle
- Participation in design reviews, risk analyses and investigations of non-conformities to identify quality-relevant risks early
- Conducting audits, inspections, fault investigations and reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in product or quality assurance, ideally in the space or air transport sector
- Solid knowledge of ECSS and other aerospace industry standards
- Technical background in one or more PA disciplines – RAMS, MMPP, EEE, software
- Experience with QMS standards, e.g., ISO 9001 or EN 9100 (DIN EN 9100), is an advantage
- Experience auditing or qualifying suppliers in the space or high-reliability industry
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable taking responsibility and working autonomously
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
