Responsibilities

  • Combine technical skills with big picture thinking in aerospace systems
  • Lead corrosion engineering activities on stealth aircraft platforms
  • Shape aerospace design, development and sustainment activities
  • Merge technical engineering activities such as corrosion engineering and digital engineering

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in defense engineering, sustainment, or maintenance organization as a corrosion engineer
  • Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, such as galvanic, pitting, environmental, or stress corrosion cracking
  • Knowledge of aircraft and defense corrosion standards, including airworthiness
  • Ability to analyze corrosion data, findings, trends, and recommendations within a complex aircraft enterprise
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering
  • Secret clearance
