About the role
- Data Analytics Intern at Qonto working on innovative data solutions for risk and compliance. Collaborating with Head of Risk Analytics to enhance banking operations security.
Responsibilities
- Create SQL queries and data extracts using Snowflake and Metabase to support internal control processes and help validate that internal procedures are properly aligned
- Analyze data and create visualizations through charts and dashboards to help risk & compliance teams make informed decisions
- Maintain and improve existing tools shared with risk and compliance teams, including frameworks hosted in Google Sheets/Google App Script
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders, scheduling appointments to understand requirements and ensure accurate data delivery
- Support investigation processes by providing data for Suspicious Transaction Reports and Enhanced Investigation frameworks
Requirements
- Technical Foundation: Proficient in SQL (sub-queries are mandatory, window functions are a plus) and Python programming
- Education: Currently pursuing a Master's degree (preferably at M2 level)
- Experience: Previous internship experience is a plus, preferably in data analysis or engineering
- Learning Mindset: Eager to learn about fintech and banking compliance, Interest in data analysis and visualization
- Communication: Open-minded with strong communication skills and proactive approach to stakeholder interaction
- Languages: Professional fluency in English. French is a plus.
