About the role

  • Transformation and Excellence Manager executing change initiatives within the Finance division at QBE. Leading continuous improvement efforts and engaging stakeholders for successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • conduct discovery sessions to understand current processes, challenges and opportunities; gather and document business requirements and pain points through stakeholder engagement and data analysis
  • analyse and identify root causes of business issues; assess the impact of proposed changes on processes and systems; guide thinking to ensure that problems and objectives are well understood and defined
  • work with stakeholders to develop clear requirements, translating between Finance and wider business functions where required
  • build and manage project plans, coordinating tasks and resources to ensure timely delivery; track progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objective
  • build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business; ensure alignment and buy-in for change initiatives through clear communication and collaboration
  • implement and manage change processes to ensure smooth transitions; minimise disruption and support adoption of new ways of working
  • maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of process taxonomy and change activities
  • support small-scale change initiatives that drive continuous improvement; contribute to building a culture of improvement within FAL
  • understand the processes, data flows and systems that Finance function operates in; develop the end-to-end view to effectively contribute to the Finance modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Insurance experience preferred
  • Experience of line management and coaching
  • Finance end-to-end process knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working in a change environment leading or supporting change initiatives
  • Able to identify problems, analyse data, and measure the impact of changes on processes and systems
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication
  • Hands-on experience with change management and continuous improvement, supporting teams through transitions and new ways of working.
