About the role

  • Accounting Specialist managing day-to-day financial operations for PwC's diverse clients in Poland. Involves process verification, compliance support, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operational accounting tasks within a dynamic financial project environment
  • Process and verify accounting transactions in at least one of the functional areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Ledger
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for assigned scope
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Support implementation and stabilization of new processes, tools and systems within project streams
  • Participate in transitions/migrations of accounting activities (knowledge transfer, documentation, testing) and maintain and update process documentation, work instructions and controls related to assigned area
  • Support in ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP) and internal control requirements
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members within the assigned accounting scope

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in at least 2 accounting processes (AP, AR, or GL) within a corporate or SSC environment
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a professional setting.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience in Shared Service Center (SSC), ACCA or other accounting certification in progress.
