Finance role at proLogistik Group in Dortmund handling controlling, accounting, and process optimization tasks for Supply Chain solutions.
Responsibilities
You will take on operational controlling for areas such as projects, sales or procurement and ensure transparency in figures, metrics and results.
You will prepare monthly reports, forecasts and variance analyses (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and present results to stakeholders in a decision-ready format.
You will expand KPI and business-unit reporting, maintain metric systems and provide well-founded recommendations for action.
You will participate in budget planning and development and support financial closings (month/quarter/year) as well as audits under HGB (German Commercial Code).
You will drive process and methodology improvements in Controlling/FP&A and the finance organization — including digitization, tool development and automation (e.g., BI/planning tools).
You will provide commercial support for the integration of merged companies and acquisitions and bring the finance perspective into group-wide projects.
In accounting you will handle tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, posting, master data maintenance, payment runs, account reconciliations as well as travel expenses/expense reports/corporate card management.
In billing you will be responsible for contract and order setup, timely billing of services and handling invoice disputes — and you will optimize processes for greater efficiency.
Requirements
Commercial training or degree (e.g., Business Administration/Economics) with a focus on Finance/Accounting/Controlling — or equivalent qualification
Experience in at least one area: Controlling/FP&A, Reporting/KPI, Financial Accounting, Billing (positions from junior to senior possible)
Very strong skills in Excel and MS Office; experience with ERP/accounting systems and BI/planning tools is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, LucaNet, Diamant, etc.)
Strong numerical affinity, structured working style and the ability to independently identify topics, analyze them and derive solutions
Professional communication — you can explain numbers clearly and are a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders
Business-fluent German and good to very good English skills (depending on the role).
