About the role
- DevOps Engineer responsible for managing application deployment and cloud infrastructure for a client in Greece. Collaborating with development teams to ensure efficiency and reliability in systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment in various environments.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and monitor system performance and availability.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software and system updates.
- Automate manual processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Ensure security best practices are embedded within workflows and processes.
- Manage container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on best practices regarding deployment, infrastructure management, and process improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or systems engineering role.
- Solid understanding of cloud providers and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Understanding of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technological landscapes.
