About the role

  • National Business Development Manager driving growth in PPG's Refinish Coatings business in Australia. Responsible for strategic planning, account management, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic relationships with direct / Key accounts to maximize PPG’s position as supplier of choice and continually focus on account growth, profitability and share of wallet in the Refinish coating market and sub-segments.
  • Meet yearly sales and PTPI targets through management of pricing, samples, expenses, etc.
  • Increase sales and deliver maximum profitability of the PPG Refinish CT / LIC Coatings portfolio of products and services through the development of new and existing business opportunities, both directly (PPH Store) and through any distribution network.
  • Continually improve the financial performance of the business by developing and implementing short- and medium-term business strategies consistent with the Refinish Coatings business plan.
  • Responsibility for the reviewing of pricing in conjunction with Refinish Sales Director AU.
  • Continue to expand the use of Salesforce software to report on our market position and target account success or shortcomings.
  • Take a leading role in the development and negotiation of sole or preferred supplier status ensuring that PPG is highly regarded as their product offering and partner of choice.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or 10 years’ experience in direct sales, business management & distribution networks in the Refinish / CT Coatings or similar industry.
  • Effective human resources and communication skills (written and oral) are required.
  • Ability to position PPG as market leader through various industry associations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with Senior Management, Sales, Marketing, Demand planning, Operations, Suppliers and Customers.
  • Strong project management skills.
